Present Indefinite Tense

》Identification (Pehchan):

The end of an Urdu or Hindi sentence contains:
1) Ta hai e.g.
Woh cricket khelta hai. (Singular+Male)

2) Ti hai e.g.
Woh cricket khelti hai. (Singular+Female)

3) Te hain e.g.
Ali aur Akbar cricket khelte hain. (Plural)

4) Ta hun e.g.
Main cricket khelta hun. (Singular)

》Form of Verb (Fel ki Surat):

First form of verb (V-I) sometimes with s, es or ies
e.g.
Play+s=Plays

》Helping Verb (Imdaadi Fel):

Do -> I, We, You, They+Plural Noun

Does -> He, She, It + Singular Noun

》Formula:

Simple Sentences:

In English:
Subject+V-I (s,es,ies)+Object+.
He Plays Football.

In Urdu/Hindi:
Subject+Object+Verb+H.V.+.
Woh Football khelta hai.

More examples:
He watches T.V. (Woh T.V. Dekhta hai.)

They read books. (Woh kitabein parhte hain.)

The bird flies in the air. (Parindah hawa mein urta hai.)

Negative Sentences:

In English:
Subject+Helping Verb+Not+V-I+Object+.
They do not cook food.

In Urdu/Hindi:
Subject+Object+Nahi+Verb+H.V.+.
Woh khana nahi pakate hain.

More examples:
He does not drive a car. (Woh car nahi chalata hai.)

She does not go to college. (Woh College nahi jati hai.)

Aslam and Akbar do not operate computer. (Aslam aur Akbar computer nahi chalate hain.)

He does not write a letter. (Woh khat nahi likhta hai.)

Interrogative Sentences

(Question Sentences):

In English:
Helping Verb+Subject+V-I+Object+?
Do they cook food?

In Urdu/Hindi:
Kiya+Subject+Object+Verb+H.V.+?
Kiya Woh khana pakate hain?

More examples:
Does he drive a car? ( Kiya woh car chalata hai?)

Does she go to college? (Kiya Woh College jati hai?)

Do Aslam and Akbar operate computer? ( Kiya Aslam aur Akbar computer chalate hain?)

Does he write a letter? ( Kiya Woh khat likhta hai?)

Interrogative Negative Sentences:

In English:
Helping Verb+Subject+not+V-I+Object+?
Do they not cook food?

In Urdu/Hindi:
Kiya+Subject+Object+nahi+Verb+H.V.+?
Kiya Woh khana nahi pakate hain?

More examples:
Does he not drive a car?
( Kiya woh car nahi chalata hai?)

Does she not go to college? (Kiya Woh College nahi jati hai?)

》Rules of Present Indefinite Tense

Rule # 1:
s, es or ies come in the end of a verb in a Simple Singular Sentence not in a Simple Plural Sentence or Negative Sentence or Interrogative Sentence.
e.g.
He plays cricket. (Simple Singular)
They play cricket. (Simple Plural)
He does not play cricket. (Negative Singular)
Does he play cricket? (Interrogative Singular)

Rule # 2:
The verbs ending with letters "CH, SH, O, X, etc" are modified by adding "es" after these letters.
e.g.
Watch => Watches
Wash => Washes
Go => Goes
Mix => Mixes

Rule # 3:
The verb ending with letter "Y" and containing a consonant before "Y" is modified by replacing "Y" with "ies".
e.g.
Fly => Flies
Try => Tries

Rule # 4:
There is no use of helping verbs in simple sentences of the present indefinite tense.
e.g.
She cooks food.
